I am having trouble getting search to work on my site.  I am running 05.01.04 (3)a and upgrade isnt an option today so I am trying to figure out what is wrong here. I search for content that I have permission to see and I know is either in a module title, an html content box or in the description of a page or a tag for the page and some work and others dont. I dont know why this would be - can anyone offer a solution to help me here?

The re-index option doesnt seem to make a bit of difference.
In the scheduler I see it is enabled and running... the last pass took about 12 seconds to complete.
Can anyone offer help on how to ditch all indexes and start over or maybe ideas on why it is doing this?

Thanks

DNN search does index CONTENT of modules only, check searchitemword table in the database for any word you are looking for and not showing up.

Curious - Why are there keywords and descriptions for pages if they are not searchable?
Seems the description of the page, the keywords and the titles of the modules/pages should be factored into the search?

Thanks for your reply.

Keywords and descriptions are used by some web crawlers. you may include additional properties by using an advanced search provider, e.g. http://dnnsearchenhanced.codeplex.com/
