I know just enough to get me in trouble and I am in a desperate situation and am begging for help (yes, begging).

I have a hosted site (www.CADeeze.com) with GoDaddy (I know, they suck) and I attempted to do an upgrade as they suggested using THEIR button. Since I did, the site does not work. I've attempted a rollback using their button and still, nothing.

I've been on the phone with GoDaddy support about 6 times in the last week and they are NO help. They did say they think it has to do with the web.config file not pointing to the correct place and that my MySQL DB is full. I'm screwed in both cases. I have no idea how to do either.

I'm begging for someone to take a few minutes to see if they can help me. This isn't a big $$$ making site, but the couple hundred dollars it does make, I need desperately.

Please let me know if anyone can help.

Thank you in advance,

Jim

If Mitch is helping you you're in good hands but I checked out your site and it appears that you have the old XML module installed. You can remove the reference to it in the web.config file under:

       <codeSubDirectories>
        <add directoryName="CSharp" />
        <add directoryName="Survey" />
        <add directoryName="XML" />       <-----------!!!! Remove this line
        <add directoryName="IFrame" />
      </codeSubDirectories>

Then go to the App_Code directory and delete the XML Folder.

There will also be a folder under DesktopModules that can be deleted.

The best way to avoid this problem is to Uninstall the Module before upgrading, this was documented with earlier versions of 5.X.X but must have been dropped from later docs.

Hope you get it going again soon!

Josh
