Hello guys,

i've been surfing around for getting control over main menu items for a while now but haven't got relevant stuff yet :)

First i want to modify the menu bar items, i.e. I have a menu with 3 items: Home, Admin, Contact Us. And  i want to:
1. disable dropdown for Admin item i.e. no drop down shud be displayed when i hover over ADMIN.
2. I have added a new pages "OfficeContact" with ContactUs being its parent page. It is successfully included in the menu but the style of the submenu item is different than the submenu item  of Admin.
3. menu_active.png is aligned to the top of the menu bar but i want to align it to center. I tried to do that from menu.css (.selected part) but menu_active is still aligned towards the top.

I will appreciate any help on this.

ad 1) you need a menu control w/o dropdown - this will affect all menu items. ad 2) can you be more specific, please. You need to specifiy an icon to provide a pic preceeding the page name ad 3) that's a skinning question, you might want to post in the Skins forum.

OK,
1. ADMIN and CONTACTUS have got submenus. I want  to disable the submenu of ADMIN (i.e. no submenu shud appear while i hover over ADMIN) while CONTACTUS menu should not be affected.

I am not able to find out the code of this menu. Where the ADMIN item is getting its submenu items loaded from? from database or from some xml? I guess i can disable the ADMIN submenu items by removing them from xml or database. Isn't it? Any ideas to do this?

2. Ok, i got it resolved now. Thanks.

all information is derived from the database. you may create a new admin menu with same module on it and move admin menu to be a hidden child of it.
