We seem to be running into some kind of Javascript error when we try to use the Document Manager from the Telerik RADEditor. My directories are displayed but no files are displayed and none of the controls, other than the close (X) button, respond in any way.

When I look in FireFox's Error Console, I'm seeing this error when I load the Document Manager:

Error: uncaught exception: Syntax error, unrecognized expression: #

There isn't a line number or any additional information associated with this error.

The problem site is running DNN 5.5.1. We're not seeing this error on other DNN 5.5.1 sites on the same server and the overall configuration of the Editor seems to be largely identical.

Any ideas where to look?

I've eliminated the possibility that it's some kind of Javascript conflict from other Javascript loaded by the skin (by switching to the DNN default skin). I've also verified it occurs with different module types on different pages.

After digging around in the Telerik Javascript quite a bit, I ended up fixing this by upgrading to DNN 5.6.0 and that made the problem go away.

I have the same problem, but my ugrade to 5.6.0 did not solve the problem.
Do you, or somebody else, has another solution ?

did you try improved telerik Editor provider from radeditor.codeplex.com?
