Susie, you may email all registered users by using bulkmail module in admin menu. However, this works well for a few hundred up to a very few thousands of users, for larger sites you should consider a 3rd party module, which is using a queue and will be more reliable.

Cheers from Germany,

Excellent thanks - the Newsletter module, I missed that one. I don't think I'll get more than a couple of thousand members anyway, so will stick with this one. Cheers again.

Chris, quick question: is this the same issue like the one reported by Ken last Friday (http://dnnforum.codeplex.com/workitem/19059) ?

 Look at the bottom of page 1 on this thread - another person with the same issue.

Problem described in this post relate to rendering avatars.
First error in log:
Method: Microsoft.VisualBasic.CompilerServices.Conversions.ParseDouble
StackTrace:
Message: System.InvalidCastException: Conversion from string "" to type 'Integer' is not valid. ---> System.FormatException: Input string was not in a correct format. at
...
 at DotNetNuke.Modules.Forum.ForumUserInfo.get_AvatarCoreFile()

Second error in log:
Method: DotNetNuke.Modules.Forum.Posts.RenderPostAuthor
StackTrace:
Message: DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.PageLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at
DotNetNuke.Modules.Forum.Posts.RenderPostAuthor(HtmlTextWriter wr, PostInfo Post, Boolean PostCountIsEven) ...

error caused when user click on thread (to display list of posts)

One of solution is comment block of code in 'RenderPostAuthor' method responsible for rendering avatars. (I realize that this does not resolve the problem)
On Monday I find exact solution.
