Sebastian,

I have give it a try. Its very very nice and with simple in mind. Thanks a lot to you and Oliver.

I have just some sujestions :
  • The first 2 tool buttons shows the state in place of  the action with is executed when you press on the button
(if you click on Edit, you go to view, if you click on Deutch you go to English)
Its not the normal way for tool buttons

  • The mode buton shows an action witch have no sense ( switch to Edit, when you are in edit)
You can maybe show the state by show a menu item as disabled....

  • I think, there is a little bug when adding a  module :
When i click on the  Change default ? container link, a radiobutton is showed with site and host, but no combox to choise the container

  • In the dialogs, buttons are not an the standard place : first "add" then "cancel" with less space between the buttons

Its are just very small thinks beside this great control panel.

(excuse me for my poor english)

The container Host / Site radio buttons are not selected by default, clicking host or site will show another dropdown list and populate it with the available containers.

The reasoning behind this is the default control panel allows you to toggle between view, edit and layout with a single click. I didn't want to add any additional time for administrators to have to hover / wait / then click on either view or edit mode (layout isn't used all that often IMO). This shortcut allows for an extremely quick way for administrators to toggle between the various modes without having to wait for the full list to appear. Also, if you hover over the view or language buttons, they should have a descriptive tooltip which says exactly what the button will do when clicked.

Let me know if you have any other suggestions or questions.

I agree with you about the hover and clic., My sugestion was just about the icon and text show on the tool button.

The user click on a Edit icon, and he go to View mode. Your tooltip explained it, but its not logical for a button to have a icon and text correponding with the current mode. It must be the icon and text coresponding with the action executed when you click on the button.

Sacha, regarding Skin and containers: are they listed in site settings? If not, please perform a recursive file sync in Admin :: File Manager and Host :: File Manager.
