Runing Windows Server SP2 ASP.Net 4, I am having the same problem when the browser does the initial DNN diplay i.e. "DNN Server Error. Return to Site". Clicking the link bring the site up fine with not errors. There are no problems running ASP.Net 2. No problem under XP SP3. Also Portalias only has 1 entry. Fresh install version 5.06.00 and removed "runtimeVersionv2.0" from web.config http://www.mitchelsellers.com/blogs/articletype/articleview/articleid/342/running-dotnetnuke-with-net-40.aspx OS Version Asp.Net Status XP SP3 2 OK 4 OK WinServer SP2 2 OK 4 First page error, go to site, then no problems.

  1. XP SP2 runs fine under ASP.Net version  2 and 4.
  2. Win Server 2003 SP2, OK under ASP.Net 2
  3. Win Server 2003 SP2, Asp.Net 4 - problem

I don't know if this is a related issue or not but it sure seems like it might be. I'm running .net framework 3.5 though and not 4 but have noticed something kind of odd when linking to pages, or files with in the site. I posted my issue here: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/F... But I can repaste it here to this thread if you feel it is relevant/related. Thanks, Ddraig

Has this issue been resolved? I'm running DNN 5.6.3 and noticed the same issue with /Dnn/Providers/HtmlEditorProviders/Telerik/LinkClickUrlHandler.ashx file when I edit a hyperlink within a DNN text editor (radeditor) in one of my module. I'm running .NET 2.0 (happens on 4.0 also) and I don't have the runAllManagedModulesForAllRequests="true" in my modules node.

HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.

Is there a solution this problem?
