Will the devs PLEASE indicate the following:

Should EnablePM exist as a column?

If not, why is it referenced in:

Forum_Members_GetAll
Forum_Members_GetByDisplayName
Forum_Members_GetByEmail
Forum_Members_GetByProfileProp
Forum_Members_GetByUserName
Forum_Members_GetOnline

My working, clean 5.0 install Forum install on DNN 5.6 has those inconsistencies.  No EnablePM or EnableDisplayMemberList in Forum_Users... but seemingly references to that elsewhere in the schema.

Okay.. so it seems like both EnablePM and EnableDisplayInMemberList were (supposed to be) dropped based on the SqlProvider scripts.

EnablePM is in the stored procs below.  And I had complaints from the broken forum when I tried to synch the schema from a working forum regarding the EnableDisplayInMemberList column.

Keep in mind:  Isn't the real clue that ONLY Host Posts are viewable after the upgrade?  Combined with the fact that Private Sub RenderPostAuthor(ByVal wr As HtmlTextWriter, ByVal Post As PostInfo, ByVal PostCountIsEven As Boolean) in Posts.vb is throwing the null object exception when we try and view a post created by someone OTHER than the host...

Does this ring ANY bells or suggestions?

As I know the PM was moved out on Forum 5.0.0 about a PM is already included on DNN (see profile page).  Of cause there have to done some enhancements on that core PM, but way should we have 2 different PM on one system.

Hi David,

I had just the same error as you describe. No errors viewing the host posts but the same error with all the other users. Your investigation is very interesting, I've the same incoherencies in view dnn_Forum_vs_ForumUsers, but modifying it does not resolve it.

In my case the solution was very simple. I had deleted the Country from the user's profile because I didn't need it -the host had that profile property. So when I added the Country again, all the problems were resolved. As a workaround, I've put invisible that field in the profile, so I've the same behaviour for the users.

I suppose that this information will help to the Dev Team in order to reproduce the bug.

Hope this helps,

David Rodríguez

Same problem here. Your workaround solved the problem (I deleted a lot of standard user's properties , I added them again).
Thank you!
