Ugh! Back to the same problem. The browser is hanging on "waiting for local host". This time I tied to go to the Admin then Site Settings pages (first time). I think the system is compiling the page but can't be sure as there's not any indication as to what is going on other then the stuck progress bar. I rebooted and got the same results. I was patient and eventually the page came up after about 5 mins. I navigated back to the Admin page and most icons displayed properly but some did not and sure enough it was hanging on "waiting for local host". I waited 5 mins and the browser indicated the paged was loaded but the icons didn't fully display (another browser time out I think). I had to refresh the page and it displayed properly. The CPU is at 5% usage, Memory used 25% so the machine is not taxed. Windows 7. All service packs and updates applied. IIS 7.5. There is 6 gig ram, 2.66 MHZ I5 processor. The disk light shows periodic or no activity and is not near to being pegged. IE and Firefox both exhibit the same issue. A situation like this makes the system unusable Any ideas on how to debug what is happening? Is there a way to force a compile of all pages so that I can eliminate the compile time as a possible cause?
