I just attempted the "Upgrade using App_offline.htm to disable" upgrade procedure found here: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Wiki/tabid/1409/Page/Upgrading-DotNetNuke/Default.aspx

When I got to the step where I was supposed to see an under construction page, I got a 404 error instead. And, when I changed my url to point to the installer, all it did was give me a blank page.

Sorry, more details: Original install: 5.1.4 I tried executing the install script on ie8 on a browser local to the server, also on firefox from my workstation. No luck.

make sure, the page name is properly spelled and the page size is at least 512 bytes.
