Hello,

I'm currently setting up a custom workflow featuring multiple levels of approval:

>> Create Content >> Approval 1 >> Approval 2 >> Approval 3 >> Approval 4 >> Publish Content

I have setup 6 separate roles and users:

ROLE   USER
 Create Content    user_CreateContent
 Approval 1    user_Approval1
 Approval 2    user_Approval2

 Approval 3    user_Approval3

 Approval 4    user_Approval4

 Publish Content    user_publishContent

Do ALL of the users need to also have the "Administrators" Security role applied to their account? I only want the "Approval" users to have the ability to approve content and NOT have full administrative rights to the site.

Any direction is greatly appreciated.

content approval workflow is a Pro only feature so the majority of people on this forum will not have used it - I'd recommend you raise this as a support request as the support team will be able to get you an answer (AFAIK users should not need administrators rights, workflow is intended to allow lower privileged users to approve content)

This is not the behavior that I am experiencing. I am using 5.6.2 Professional. I have been unable to grant approval-only permission to a user in my testing scenarios. I have to add editing permission for them to be able to see the Approve or Deny commands. I don't want them to edit the content, just to approve/deny it. I want the "editor" and "approver" roles to be mutually exclusive.
