I haven't encountered the issue in 4.9.5, are you using modules/skins with specific client site code?

No there isn't any client side code in the skins/containers being used.
Can you let me explains what the error message is saying?

This issue has reappeared. Can someone please tell me what the 'icoUser' control is and where it is generated so I can try and track the issue down.
TIA
Antony

Can anyone shed some light what the following error means and how to go about correcting it.  We are seeing it every time a change to a user's profile is updated and the update link is clicked on and you are returned to the screen that lists users.

A critical error has occurred.
Multiple controls with the same ID 'icoUser' were found. FindControl requires that controls have unique IDs.

The install is DNN4.9.5

 BUMP
The error is seen with the default skin so it doesn't appear to be caused by any controls in the skin itself. It also only occurs in the one portal of the install.  Whilst most of the users are added and managed using a 3rd party module, the error also occurs when a user is added then modified using the default DNN user management without being touched by the 3rd party module.

As it only appears to occur after making a change or viewing the users profile and any changes that were made to the users profile were not saved it would appear it points to duplicates in either the specific users profile properties or the profile property definitions. I have looked through these and couldn't find any duplicates. Though, my SQL might be at fault here.

In the event log the following stack trace appears each time the error is thrown:
Message: DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.PageLoadException: Multiple controls with the same ID 'icouser' were found. FindControl requires that controls have unique IDs. ---> System.Web.HttpException: Multiple controls with the same ID 'icouser' were found. FindControl requires that controls have unique IDs. at System.Web.UI.Control.FillNamedControlsTable(Control namingContainer, ControlCollection controls) at System.Web.UI.Control.FillNamedControlsTable(Control namingContainer, ControlCollection controls) at System.Web.UI.Control.EnsureNamedControlsTable() at System.Web.UI.Control.FindControl(String id, Int32 pathOffset) at System.Web.UI.Control.FindControl(String id, Int32 pathOffset) at System.Web.UI.Control.FindControl(String id, Int32 pathOffset) at System.Web.UI.Control.FindControl(String id, Int32 pathOffset) at System.Web.UI.Control.FindControl(String id, Int32 pathOffset) at System.Web.UI.Control.FindControl(String id, Int32 pathOffset) at System.Web.UI.Page.FindControl(String id) at System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessPostData(NameValueCollection postData, Boolean fBeforeLoad) at System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain(Boolean includeStagesBeforeAsyncPoint, Boolean includeStagesAfterAsyncPoint) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

Would really appreciate some suggestions what I should be looking for to correct this.

TIA
Antony
