I upgraded the DNN to 5.6 and now when I want to include a link/file in the text have to use the document manager that seems not configured.  First of all it does not see the underlying file system of the server that the previous edit could?  How can I configure it as the list box of the manager is empty?

Try going to the File manager and do a recursive synch.

I have done a recusive search and also set the user permissions for the folders in the file manager. Still when the document manager opens it's totally empty for any user and the administrator.

What was unusual when I did the recursive search is that I have a few hundred folders and it will index half and then end in an error. I also have the DMX document module loaded and this will index and display all my folders prefectly.

When the recursive sync crashes this is the error:

An error has occurred.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.PageLoadException: Request timed out. ---> System.Web.HttpException: Request timed out. --- End of inner exception stack trace ---
