You don't have to compile the code. You can just make the change and save the file.

Well, that sounds simple enough ;-)

I'll make the tweak and test a copy on my localhost and see how it works.

Thanks again!

To update -- the following didn't work as expected:
objCookie.Expires = Date() + 1

But, this does appear to work:
objCookie.Expires = DateTime.Now.AddDays(1)

Now, I'll just have to wait until tomorrow to see if I can vote again ;-)

It appears that the cookie expire date is still not working correctly.

After using: objCookie.Expires = DateTime.Now.AddDays(1) and viewing the cookie file in the IE8 cache file explorer, the cookie shows that it will expire on 02/17/2011. Which is a month minus one day.

I read a little more about the code fragment on-line and it appears that this form is for C#, so a little more research indicated that the following is a proper use for VB.NET (remove the "DateTime" element):

objCookie.Expires = Now.AddDays(1)

After deleting the old cookie and voting again, I get the same indication that the cookie expires on 02/17/2011.

This is running on my localHost and the system date is set correctly. Any idea as to why this might happening?

Thanks again.

Jim
