I have a version of DNN running in VS2010. I have just upgraded this from V5.5.1 to V5.6.1 using the upgrade package. I also copied across the Symbols package at the same time. Now, whenever I login or logout, I get a "NULLReferenceException was unhandled by user code" error. The Disassembly shows in VS2010 with an address of" DotNetNuke.HttpModules.Compression.CompressionModule.CompressContent(Object, System.EventArgs)"

The top of the Disassembly has this pathname at the top:

C:\Builds\Maintenance\WorkingDirectory\Library\HttpModules\Compression\CompressionModule.vb

I assume that this is a DNN thing as I don't have that pathname on my PC.

The Disassembly stops at this point:  000004dc 83 7D A0 00 cmp dword ptr [ebp-60h],0
Nothing appears in the EventLog.

To be honest I don't know how proceed with this so any advice would be most welcome

it got ridiculous, I wasgetting this error on almost every action. Also, whenever I change to a different tab or just view module settings, I was getting a site unavailable message (Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage), but if I simply refreshed the page it worked.

So I have removed all the symbols and the site is now stable again. I guess having these included when running in debug mode within VS2010 results in these problems?
