This issue affects far more than just the Events module. Although the first reports of the problem involved failure of module action menus top open and display, it appears that almost any client side scripting behavior, controls that make use of AJAX such as the folder tree in File Manager, and so forth can cease to function properly on some sites when either GZip or Deflate compression is enabled in a 5.06.01 site. There is some evidence that the issue may be affecting some browsers more frequently than others.

So far, the only Gemini issue logged is the one relating to failure of the module action menus when compression is enabled (DNN-14841). I would encourage those experiencing various forms of this issue to either create a new Gemini issue or comment on the existing one and related new ones as they are added.
