We run 05.06.01 (238) and trying to get Active Directory Authentication to work.  We currently have a DNN install of 04.09.03 working.  I changed my web.config to <identity impersonate="true" userName="domain\username" password="password" /> with an account that has permission.  When I click "Update Authentication Settings" I get the error below.  I have setup permission just like my other DNN install which works. 

Any ideas?  Thanks!

Thanks. I'm going to be setting up a 2008 R2 server this weekend (if we don't get a ton of snow and I have to spend the weekend digging out) but in the meantime go through these two threads just to double check that something hasn't been missed... Using DNN with Windows Server 2008 R2 w/AD Authentication
 and Server 2008/IIS 7 Issues
