I am looking for a way to develop a module that can contain another modules... an 'ASP.NET LoginView control' equivalent module that you can place other modules into for both the anonymous template and logged in template. Is there a module out there that can do this? If not, is there someone willing to help me develop this?

Yes it is possible to create a module that loads other modules.
www.snowcovered.com has a number of module wrapper / loader modules available for sale.
But having said that - I don't believe any have role based controls ... so the may not do exactly what you are looking for.

Having said that, from what I understand of your needs - what you are looking for is a way to display different content for different roles - UnRegistered and Registered.

You can actually do this already without having to mess around with module wrappers or injectors.  just drop 2 html modules on the same page and set the view permissions for each accordingly.

Oh, for what its worth, most of the module wrapper tools work by actually re-injecting modules that are already added to the site on either the same page or on other pages.

You put your module wrapper at the top of the page and mark it up and/or define its layout.
You put the modules that will be injected onto the same page just below the module wrapper - think of these as the base modules.
You edit the module as normal using dnns tools.

When in EDIT module - you see the base modules in the dnn default layout.
When you are not in EDIT mode -  the module wrapper tool re-injects the modules based on its custom layout needs and hides the base modules.

PS if you need help putting this sort of module together drop me a line wtatters@live.com.au

Thanks for the tip re: html module... I'll give it a go. I would like to get into the development of this module (especially for authenticated views). I think there is a need for this. I'll mail later to day with details.... (still at work now)
