Dave

I have pretty thoroughly investigated this - when get the op will write up process and conclusions thus far.

Methinks it is the code in dnn or perhaps most likely the ref script tags that introduce the script - as I suggested way back; I have had issue with that previously & I had to do some trial and error to make it work within the skin (it is essentially the same process if you host in contnr/module level). First next step will be to remove the intro script & see if that helps - thence if that fails we may have to put online & ask script expert from within the community for advice.

Anyaway hang in there - I reckon we will have this sorted soon & hopefully all learned heaps through the process. To that end I would love to help you set up a site to formalise the process how we can tackle these problems co-operatively and perhaps with more structure for the benefit of the community.

Rgds

Thanks Miles...

I tried buying the MediaAnt countdown timer and it doesn't work for some reason.  Oliver at MediaAnt can't seem to figure it out although he has been very responsive and is great at customer service.  He is stumped...

I tried a Constant Contact module this week and the forms using XHTML break the skins and don't work correctly.  I get the feeling there have been some changes in the wrong direction recently with DNN?  I used to be able to take an embed code, paste it into the Source (using the old editor) and the thing just worked.  I am confident that these things a cyclical and will be ironed out.  I have been using DNN for a few years and overall it's great.

Maybe with this discovery of how to place Java Script using this countdown timer will give me the new way (although much more complicated) of using these codes?

Thanks again for helping.  I am sure this is going to be faced by many others as we try to plug external tools into our sites.

Sebastian,

I still haven't licked this problem and the DNN 6.x Telerik editor does the same thing. Can you teach me how to put code into the page like I used to with the FCK editor?

Here is a sample.

I put this in the HTML portion of the editor and it doesn't show up and when I switch between HTML and Design view, the code is gone.

Thanks always for your help.
