We have figured out how to get this all working. I will try to post a complete set of instructions at some point, but in short, the instructions in the AD provider manual are correct but missing a key point. The Forms Authentication needs to be configured to redirect to /DesktopModules/AuthenticationServices/ActiveDirectory/WindowsSignin.aspx. as follows: Also at variance from the manual, we are running under the ASP.Net 4.0 app pool using the integrated pipeline, not the classic pool/pipeline which the documentation states is required. Finally, to achieve our full goal we disabled anonymous authentication site wide. Do we have any solutions yet for this issue? I have the same exactly problem: with windows authentication only, the registered AD users are successfully recognised, but unfortunatelly nobody else.
Is there any workaround?
