Judy,
I understand your problems, and try to give my best advice. If your users are unhappy with RadEditor, you may install CKEditor 3 provider (dnnckeditor.codeplex.com), which is the successor of FCKEditor 2 and works seamless in IE9. I installed it for all our DNN 4 clients without issues.
Whether you prefer to start with Active Forum lite or Core Forum depends on your requirements, we should expect smooth upgrade paths for both products - by nature of the developers, Active Forums might be a bit easier.

Cheers from Germany,
Sebastian Leupold

Hi Sebastian,

I am having the same problem with DNN werk.

The image manager works but document manager doesn't.

Any suggestions?

Hi there,

I've solved the issue myself. Not sure if all these contributed to the resolution, most probably the last one, but I'll put it in here.

1. Upgrade to Telerik 6
2. Run the following SQL command
UPDATE [dbo].[Folders]
SET [FolderPath] = LOWER([FolderPath]);
3. In /DesktopModules/dnnWerk.RadEditorProvider/ConfigFile/ConfigFile.xml I changed the property "DocumentsPath" from /Documents (which didn't exist) to /

Finally!!

Yen-
Thank you so much for your post. It was indeed step 3 - changing the property "DocumentsPath" from /Documents to just /.
You ended two full days of frustration for me, much appreciated.

@Julie - you are welcome.

I was frustrated too. The other thing I noticed is that these editors are case sensitive.

So if you have a folder called /documents but the DocumentsPath is looking for /Documents then it would fail.

I'm just glad it working! :-)
