The theme for DotNetNuke 6.1 was mobile. Our next release will focus on social collaboration and the inclusion of the Active Social features.

Maybe I'm an idiot (I never rule it out), but can't seem to find any info regarding whether Active Forums has been included with this latest release of DNN or not.  I can see that Active Social is not yet, but can someone enlighten me on the status of Active Forums, as I have been waiting to make the move, but would really like the Active Forums module included when I take the plunge.

Thanks to whomever can shed some light!

 RIGHT!

A month ago some update about this was promised in the forums, but still no information about it.

The activeforums work was completed AFAIK and the delay is in writing the scripts to migrate the data from the existing module to the new one. Once they're correct we'll upgrade dotnetnuke.com and then release the updated module and scripts so that anyone who want to can migrate their data. It's hard to give an ETA on this as we (obviously) have to do a lot of testing to ensure we dont lose data during the migration.

Thanks for the reply.

If the work is complete on the module integration with DNN with the exception of the scripts required to port over data created by the previous version by Active Modules, why couldn't it simply be released as a new module with 6.1, with the capability of converting existing data to follow when the scripts are ready?  This way anyone new to DNN or anyone who didn't previously didn't use the forum module would benefit from the included module and wouldn't have to wait for a feature that they wouldn't need or use.  Conversely, anyone that was waiting to convert existing data could continue to wait for the feature within a later release.  Is there something wrong with my thinking or this approach?
