Having the same issue. Is there a fix?

Which issue? The file upload or the SMTP issue?

The file upload issue can be fixed as described earlier in this thread (disable Partial rendering support in the "Form" control), anyway it is fixed with newer versions of the module.

The SMTP issue is most propably a wrong SMTP setting in the host settings. Please check there.

Best wishes
Michael

The problem that I said I also had was the SMTP issue. And I can confirm that the problem is not in the host SMTP settings. The newsletter module can send emails, the test link sends emails. I needed a solution in a hurry, so I diabled the Helferlien form and created a form with Dynamic Forms in hopes to avoid this issue.Interestingly, it gave me the same issue. It would not send the email and displayed an error. The solution was to remove the "FROM" entry that I had in there. That is a field that Dynamic Forms exposes that we can put a name in there to signify who the email came from. (Helferlein Form does not have this field) When I cleared out that field and left it empty, the emails started flowing. Afterward I returned to the Helferlein form and tried filling in the form again and it still would not send the email. I'm using DNN Version 5.6.3.

I never heard of that issue. You can set the FROM information in the settings (either an email form field, a host or a portal administrator).

Which version of helferlein_Form are you using? I added a REPLY-TO address (same as the from address) a while ago to avoid false positives in spam filters.

Is there any entry in the log file about that?

Best wishes
Michael

Please:
1) Login as Host.
2) Go to the Host/Module Definitions and open for edit module you use.
3) Scroll bottom to the "Module Controls". There should be few controls.
4) Open for edit each module control.
5) Check tickbox "Supports Partial Rendering?" at the bottom. If checked, please uncheck it and update and try if it fixes problem.

Hope this helps.

Sergey
