HI,

I used trial ver of proff edition and tried searching from dnn:search, but everytime it comes up with no result found for... i checked forums and answers and did all possible outcomes, by reindexing, setting schedular for search and deleting logs for search and re indexing again. But it doesnt search basic HTML content.

Please help me as as what may be the problem.

ALso if am login as host, searc result page shows me "This module is hidden to regular users if there is no Tag=xxx querystring parameter."
Thanks,
varun

You have to turn the 'search' feature on.
Login as Host
Go to the Host menu and select Search Admin
Fill in the blanks - max word length, min word length,
Put checks in both boxes to include common words and numbers.
Then Update.
It should index your site and the search should now work.

Unfortunately I believe there is a bug in the latest DNN Templates and the SearchResults page doesn't actually have the Search Results module on it. You'll need to add it.

Though if you are using the Professional Edition you'll want to configure the Search Indexing under the Professional Edition Features section, so it will index your website.

Hi Chris,

You were right, by default search module was missing in search result page. Now everything working fine.

Thanks,
