(Note: I picked this background image because it's small and it's pretty easy to see where it repeats, not because this is the one I'll use. The one I want to tile with is seamless when it tiles.)

The skin.css .content_pad class has a background image in it that was overwriting the page's image.
It appears to be a thin, white, vertical bar. Go figure.
