Hi folks

I have configured IIS for wildcard application MAPS so I can have vanity URLs without extensions  like http://mysite/somename - this works fine except when you put in names that dont exist (are not mapped in SiteUrls.config)  eg http://mysite/badname in which case instead of displaying a '404 Page not Found' I get a page saying  'DotnetNuke Error - Domain name  ???? Does Not Exist in Database .....' .

This also applies for other invalid URLS with .htm or html extension eg -  http://mysite/badname.htm  they get redirected to this page instead of the Error 404 Page i want. This only seems to happen since I upgraded to 5.6.1 from 5.2  - previously the Page Not Found  displayed just fine.

Has something change in the HttpModule.URLRewrite so things no longer get redirected back to IIS  as per vversion 5.2 ?   if so is there something I can do to get incorrect URLS to come up as ''404 Page not Found' ?

many thanks
