Scott, have you looked at how the extension installer progresses using multiple 'popups'?

I have created a Gemini Issue http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/ViewIssue.aspx?id=15908&PROJID=2

I think it is short sited for 6.0 to install third party modules with popups enabled by default.

Many module developers have behaviors that will require this to be turned off, look at what dnn has done to get behaviors to work.

This should be turned on by developers as we migrate to new features of 6.x. Moreover the installer exceptions out when processing a unknown tag like “supportPopups” (this is present in 5.x an 6.0 beta 1) leaving the remaining tags within the “moduleControls” group unprocessed, and with the absence of a .dnn6 manifest developers will need to supply two install packages during the transition.

If you have a better solution we should follow please do tell.

Thank you Robert, I appreciate the feedback (and the logging of the bug).

Hi Robert,
Are you using the new manifest format that was released with DNN5 or are you still using the old format?

Hi Will,

Thanks for your response.

I am referring to the dnn 5.x manifest.

In this example and in my tests on 5.x and 6.0, if place “supportsPopups” (I understand that this is an incorrect tag do to case, hence invalid tags) then the remaining tags contained within “moduleControls” are not processed, when I say tags I am also referent to the additional definitions in the group also.

So if I go to dnn definitions for the module “< supportsPartialRendering >True< /supportsPartialRendering >" "< controlTitle>Edit Settings< /controlTitle >" < controlType >Edit< /controlType >” will be missing in that definition, along with any additional definitions in the “moduleControls” group.
