Although I am a seasoned developer, I am a novice to DNN and in fact, I just heard about it yesterday morning and configured my server with it yesterday afternoon - 0-90 in about 6.7 seconds.

Although got on the fast-track with a preconfigured GoDaddy hosting system, I now know the power of DNN, and will want to install my own dedicated system soon for more control.  (The preconfigured system is exclusively for my use, but for example, they install the source files in a virtual dir that I dont have direct ftp access to).

I could participate in module dev, but would need to get up to speed with the code.

Perhaps I could help guide the requirements at first, at least features that I would like to see.

One feature that I think would have broad appeal is this:
After standard rendering of the NewsFeed module, a click on a headline would take the user to an internal DNN page with an IFRame on it.  The IFrame would then render the target page within the IFrame content.

Implemetation could look like some settings in the IFrame, a setting to encode a ?url= parameter into the target URL, and the internal DNN page containing the target.  The page could then trickle the parameter down to the  IFrame module.

The Iframe would require some work, but should be pretty easy.

Thanks for your interest.  I will add you to the beta testers list so you can receive updates regarding the module.  I added your idea to a current Gemini (support.dotnetnuke.com ) item that talks about doing something very similar:

This way it won't get lost.

Thanks,
Josh
