sorry, the only advice I can provide you, is install ckeditor provider from http://dnnckeditor.codeplex.com - I never use the built in provider, nor my clients.

download CKEditor package and unzip. select DNN 6 version and login to your website as superuser ("host"). go to Extensions in Host menu and execute "Extension install wizard". follow the steps - done.

Thank you.
I installed the CKEditor package however, instead of no Rich Text Editor box, I have a smaller text editor window similar to the basic text editor. I attempted to select the Custom Editor Options to determine if I can make changes to have the icons and text only displayed without the configuration symbols. When the page opens for the CKEditor Provider Settings, a continueous Loading Options Page Please Wait occurs indefinately.

1. Why would this occur?
2. Is this the settings page to set up the Rich Text Editing?

I never experienced issues with CKEditor options (to configure the editor on the portal or page), this sounds like a problem in your database. please check Event viewer for any related items.
