I noticed  that in the footer there is a copyright statement by DNN.

How to remove "Copyright by DNN Corporation" ? If I want to start a website using DNN, can I change it to copyright by mywebsite ?

If I am using DNN for my website, Is there any statement (like copyright or powered by) I have to keep on my website related to DNN ? or I am free to personalize the website as much as I want ?

in the Host Menu -> Host Settings - you can turn off the copyright code injected into the page  html by dnn.
in the admin menu -> Admin Settings - you can set the copyright message displayed by the copyright skin object to anything you would like.

You can entirely change the look and layout of a dnn site using the built in skinning system - have a look on www.snowcovered.com for a list of thousands of different skins that area available commercially - also there is nothing stopping you creating your own skin designs.

Many starter kits requires user to keep something like "powered by etc". so in DNN it is not mandatory to keep any statement related to DNN on the website, right ? We can personalize the website 100% ?

Yes thats totally correct - there is no requirement to include any dnn branding or labelling on your site - and there is not requirement to even include such in the html headers.

DNN is using MIT open source license, which allows you to modify the site as you like and the underlying core code (although not suggested), as long as you keep the copyright statement in the source code.
