Hi Gilles,

To the existing store module we have added a new provider. As per clients requirement we need to store certain transaction information into database.
So we have got two new tables to be created while installing store module.
Any suggestion/procedure to create new tables while installing store module?

Thank,
Raj

Hi Raj,

Increment the version number of all projects in the solution, then create a text file xx.yy.zz.SqlDataProvider where x.y.z is the new version number. Put your SQL code to create your tables and sp in this file. Don't forget to add your new files (.ascx, .dll, .sqldataprovider, ...) in the manifest file (DNN Store.dnn) and to add your SQL code to remove your tables and sp in the file UnInstall.SqlDataProvider! This is the standard way to package a module.

Hi Gilles,

I love the way you support many in this forum. Thank you very much for useful information on packaging store module and about creation of sqldataprovider.

If I am wrong please correct my understanding about changing version number for all projects:
For all the applications in the store module->right click->select properties->under application tab->click on assembly information button->change the current Assembly Version - 3.0.0.0 to 3.0.0.1 and File Version - 3.0.0.0 to 3.0.0.1

Thanks,
Raj

Hi Raj,

Thanks, you'r welcome! :-)

You'r right, this is the way to change the version number inside each projects of the solution, but I will use 03.00.01 instead 03.00.00.01. I forgot to specify than you have to update the version number in the manifest file (DNN Store.dnn) for each module (Store Admin, Store Catalog, ...).

Hi Gilles,

I will follow the version naming as you said. Sure I will update the same in DNN Store.dnn. Thank you once again.
