Hi all

i am seting up localhost on my PC everything is done well  but when i am runing local host getting this error

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

please help so needed

I've had the same issue before - for me it's usually been something along the lines of not having the correct alias url in the PortalAlias table. Make sure if you're using the built in webserver in Visual Studio - that the localhost port number is there - for example:
localhost:58354/dnninstall --- I've had it where VS randomly started using a different port number.

The redirect could be caused by a number of things - lack of .net 3.5sp1 (please check you've that installed), setting the site to require ssl but not having an ssl certificate etc. I'd recommend installing http fiddler and using it to see what exactly the redirect is to get an idea what may cause the (e.g. some proxy servers can strip urls and cause issue, and some rewriters may have problems if no configured correctly)

now i am getting another issue with DNN installation

Could not load file or assembly 'DotNetNuke.HttpModules' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. (C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\BE50\web.config line 112)

that indicates that a file is missing -DotNetNuke.HttpModules.dll, please try copying over all the files again (also please ensure that if you've downloaded an install.zip that you right click, select properties and click "unblock" before you unzip)
