I am having this same issue too. When a page is set to hidden (show in menu is not checked), I get no nav at all from DDRMenu on that page. As already mentioned I can only get it to show a menu when setting the NodeSelector to "*", which doesn't really help as I only wanted RootChildren.

Has anyone been able to get this working?

I just updated to 6.02 hoping it would be resolved, but still have the issue.

Thanks.

I'm also experiencing this issue on 6.0.2.  If the current page is set to not include in menu, using any type of NodeSelector with a Menu will cause it to not render anything.

FWIW, I have sites (DNN 6.0.2) where the sub pages are always hidden from the menu and the DDR menu works fine. I tend to use the name of the top level page as the node selector expression but RootChildren also works.

Just posting this in case it's relevant to others. Since my last post, I noticed I had one instance of child pages where the DDR menu container was displaying but the links weren't. I discovered the top level page permissions were set for admins only, changing the permissions to all users displayed the links.

I'm getting the missing menu regardless of the permissions of parent and children pages. After trying out some tweaks to the source of DDRMenu it appears that the FindById method of the MenuNode object is failing when the current page is set to not appear in the menu. It loops through all menu items as normal but never manages to get the current page to return itself, thus it returns null when it fails. I haven't had enough time to dig further in to a solution but perhaps someone else may have an idea about where to look based on that information.
