Hello,

I'm hoping someone has a fix for this. I developed a 5.6.3 site on my local machine and everything worked perfect. Moved to development and now the rad editor image manager or file manager does not display and folders. I have seen this post http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/B...  but, I'm not sure if I have the same problem because this was not an upgrade and I don't see any folders, not even Portal Root.  Any input is greatly appreciated.

"Moved to development" should have read: moved from development to production.

Have you rebuilt the file system? Go to Admin > File Manager. And hit the rebuild option. It's fixed the missing folder problem for me before.

But based on the fact you can't see the root, sounds like a different problem. Any errors in the event log?

Hi Lucas,

Thanks for the response. I must be missing something because I don't see a "rebuild" link. Do you mean the synchronize files? In Admin/ File Manager I do see my folders and files there, it's just using the rad editor.

Yes, there is a general exception that gets thrown when trying to use the image manager.

Try running the file Syncro (All Files). Which is what I believe he means by "rebuild". If it STILL does not show any files then I believe it is probably a permissions glitch in the DNN Folder permissions table.

I've seen it where if the root folder permission gets wiped out or is not set correctly that you'll lose the ability to use the File manager. Will require a few SQL commands to fix it.

The other unlikely thing is it could be a cache issue and try to Restart the Application. Might help.
