I'm completely stumped on this one.

My SSL cert is configured and my pages are successfully being secured.  However, the skin CSS breaks (in particular, all "inherits") and the control panel disappears on every secured page.  When I uncheck the "secure" box in page settings, the skin and control panel return to normal.

There aren't any http references in the skin or container files, and after hours of trying to corner the problem, I'm nowhere.

Any ideas?

I'm running 06.00.02.

I haven't fixed this problem yet, but I did find a block of script that DNN is adding to my skin.css file when the page is secure.  The script contains HTML, HEAD and TITLE tags as well as javascript.  I don't know what DNN is adding this, but it breaks the skin.  It goes away when I uncheck "secure" and everything returns to normal.

Could this be a bug in the latest release??

Another clue - when I uncheck "SSL Enforced," the destructive script isn't included in my CSS file and I can secure pages without breaking them.

SOLVED.  There was a setting in iFinity's URL Master that needed to be turned off (When switching from https -> http use client based redirect? ).  When this was checked, it added the destructive content to the top of skin.css when Enforce SSL was enabled.

Hi Brent

Thank you very much.

Have just spent hours deconstructing skins and trying to track down where that script was coming from.

I would have gotten there eventually but you have saved me a great deal of time by posting this answer.

THANK YOU

Ian

PS - must now be my lucky day - I found the answer with the first Google search result. Off to buy a lottery ticket.
