I moved my 4.8.3 DNN installation from one dedicated server to another (switching from 64 bit to 32 bit Win2008). It's up and running, but there are problems, most notably I'm getting Application Started messages one after another - sometimes seconds/minutes apart.  I know it's not the worker process recycling when this happens. There are no Application Shutting Down messages preceding the Application Started messages.

In the process of investigating, I sometimes use Host, Settings to restart DNN. When I do, I will see multiple Application Shutting Down messages. This morning there were 8 of them over a 5 second period when I restarted.

Any ideas on how to track down what's causing this? This installation was fine on my other server.

I rebooted, and I went to Portal #1. W3P needs to spin up, so that's fine. I hit a few pages, and they are quick to load. I go to Portal #2. It takes some time to spin up, then it's fast for a few pages. I hit Portal #3. It comes up quickly. I hit Portal #4, and it's slow to load the first page.

My Admin, Event View log looks like this:

If I then go to Host, Settings and Restart Application, I get an Application Shutting Down message once for each start:

I am seemingly able to duplicate this. There are no events in the Windows event logs (App or System) related to WAS, and I have WAS set to log all recycles. The recycle time-out is 180 minutes. I am truly stumped at this point. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
