On the registered role the 'remember me' will work and remember the login.  On new roles I created on the it does not work testing on same computer/same browser.  Tested on various pc's and this issue is role linked but what can it be?

remember me works at the cookie level so is not role-aware - i suspect what you're seeing here is a user with a lot of roles that has overflowed the maximum cookie size (different reports state that 40-50 cookies can cause this issue) - FYI we are considering an enhancement to change the role storage to allow more roles.
