I'm using the out of the box HTML editor, are you saying install it again?

 If this is a fresh 6.1 install (even 6.1 upgraded to 6.1.1) the only html editor provider installed by default is the telerik one.  Other providers would require a manual installation process.  The HTML Administration module would (if you had more than one) allow you to choose which provider to use.  If you've upgraded from a lower version of DNN there may be several providers installed (FCK, CK, Telerik rad editor are the most common ones).

I have been watching this thread, and it's like pulling teeth.  Is it so hard to actually put ALL the information somebody might need into one post rather than 25% of it and making them guess the rest?

Like the other poster, I have a new 6.1.1 instance, upgraded from 6.0.  I have not installed any additional editors, so the default Telerik editor is the one in use.  As far as I can see, there is no HTML administration module, nor can I find one on Snowcovered, or whatever.  So, the simple question several people seem to want to know, but nobody wants to answer:

Where do you go EXACTLY to find the magic checkbox to allow scripts.  When an admin is using the system, I want scripts enabled.  When a generic end-user is using a forum or something, then no scripts.  Is this set by Portal?  By HTML module instance? Globally?  Some docs on this would REALLY be nice.

Thanks
Tim

Ahhh, never mind, figured it out.

Host-->Host Features-->HTML Editor Manager

There's a whole butt load of configuration settings in there...

Advice:

Do not uncheck remove scripts from the default or everyone configurations. Click on the "everyone" configuration, then at the bottom of the page, click on copy.

Once you click copy, you'll be able to select the roles you want for this new configuration. In my case, I chose only Administrators which created a "Admin" configuration.

In the left tree, click on the "Admin" configuration (just to make sure it's selected.

Now you can uncheck "Remove Scripts" for the "Admin" configuration (As well as set any "Admin" specific configuration settings.

Enjoy!!
