Running into a problem when using the editor In the "Basic Text Box" mode.  I've tried to add/edit content that contains Javascript code. The editor is stripping out the code when saved.  It doesn't matter if you're using TEXT, HTML or RAW Mode. I'm assuming that this is related to the new editor upgrade that comes with 6.1.0.

yes, I'm afraid we had to add it in to fix a security issue - we will be revisiting it to see if we can integrate in the "disablescripts" setting of telerik to allow users to decide if they want to support javascript injection

I don't understand that decision at all??  Not only does the editor not work, but it strips out any pervious javascipt used throughout the site, regardless of if its been edited or not.

Javascipt is pervasisve in today's web development world and I honestly don't see how this makes any sense for the new path set for DNN with the release of the 6.0 platform.  I for one will stay with 6.0.2 until this issue get revisited.

 Cathal,

Any ETA on a potential fix for this.  For most content editors, this is a HUGE, HUGE, breaking issue.  I already have two clients that now cannot upgrade to 6.1.x as they can no longer manage content?

Does this strip anything else out?  Or just JavaScript.

All of the previous editors (FCK/FTB/Telerik) perform the same stripping options - the issue is that teleriks code misses some that previous editors did not. As we cannot edit the telerik code we have to filter when we save (i.e. on the postback). Injecting script via the htm/raw window was a well known (though never officially supported) "hack" and as such is not regarded as a breaking change -if you look at other CMS's you'll notice some dont even offer html editors but instead use dialects such as markdown to closely control the input and ensure it is only text/formatting.

I have this on my plate to fix for 6.1.1.
