To be able to see the actual error message - search for "customError" in your web.config - and set it to off - reload the page to get the full error. Once you have it - set customError back on.

May be able to help w/ the full error.

I attempted to move my DNN site to a new directory within the same server (win 2008, IIS 7).

Did you set the file/folder permissions correctly?

Hi Jeff,

I believe I had set the permissions, IIUSR, Network Service etc on the root folder and applied to all child objects.

Hi albert - i set it to off by replacing remote only with Off - is this correct?

This is what I now have:

<configuration> <system.web> <customErrors mode="Off"/> </system.web> </configuration>

Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's <customErrors> configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL.

<configuration> <system.web> <customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="mycustompage.htm"/> </system.web> </configuration

Sorry the error didnt copy across properly - forgive my incompetence I am new to DNN and these forums:

Line 204: <httpRuntime useFullyQualifiedRedirectUrl="true" maxRequestLength="8192" requestLengthDiskThreshold="8192" requestValidationMode="2.0"/>

I have checked the application pool in IIS and it is set to use .net framework 2.0 and set to 'integrated'. Also for additional info the folder where it is installed is configured as an 'application'
