Hi All

Starting with a clean Community installation of DNN version 06.01.00 (1171) created by Microsoft's WebMatrix and logged on to the new DNN website as Host.

If I search for and find the DotNetNuke Events module under the more extensions tab and follow through the Deploy options, I end up with dialogs saying everything has been successfully installed and the Events Module initially shows in the Installed Extensions List. However as soon a the Extensions List page is refreshed the Events Module disappears.

If I look at the SQL DB, the scripts have run creating the events tables but there is no entry for the module in the ModuleDefinitions table.

Can anyone suggest where I am going wrong?

Kind regards

Ian Galletly

p.s. I previously posted this on the "Using Modules and Other Extensions" not realising there was this Module specific forum - sorry. IG.

Does it tell you what version of Events it installed? Was it 5.2.0?

Cheers

I just went through and installed a DNN 6.1.0 site (from source because I need a dev environment), and then installed Events 5.2.0 from the More Extensions dialogue. It has installed fine.

Have you got any errors in your event log?

Cheers
Roger

Hi Roger

Sorry again for the delay - I missed the quick reply box so there will be another post similar to this one when approved.

The installer is finding version 5.2.0

As I mentioned above, once the Extensions List is refreshed, there is no evidence of the module being installed on the website; obviously the event objects in the database have been created which means the installation script fails with errors if run again but there is no data in any of them.

Can you point me in the direction of the logs?

Kind regards

Ian Galletly

Have a look at the Event Viewer in the Admin menu. Best if you are logged on a Host because you will see more events.

If you want to try installing again you can run the script Uninstall.SQLDataProvider which you can find in the install zip, or in DesktopModules\Events\Instalation if you have anything actually there on your site.

Cheers
