I can't access the host settings. That page gives me an error message. Is there a way to check in the database instead?

table hostsettings, set value of both, HTTPCompression and HTTPCompressionLevel to 0.

Ok, I was able to change the HTTPCompression to 0. The compression level was already set to 0. I stopped and started the site on the server side and then ran the Sync and it worked. So the file manager is now working.

However, I still can't access my Host Settings. I'm still getting the "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" error. I cleared my cache, recycled the App Pool but still can't get in.

So, I'm halfway there...

Does anything useful show up in your DNN's logs (under 'Admin' -> 'Log viewer'), when trying to open one of the unreachable pages?

If not in DNN's logs, try looking for useful error-messages in the server's Event Viewer.

Are you perhaps forcing URL-redirects fromout anything else then DNN itself (like IIS and/or the likes of IIRF)? If so: Infinite redirecting could be happening as well, eventually causing a timeout (some default pages' URLs have changed in DNN 6).
