I've developed a custom registration page, and it's working well.  The visible registration links all navigate to the correct page.

However, a request like .../home.aspx?ctl=register results in the display of the default registration page.

I consider that a 'bug', but would be happy if there is a known workaround.  Once option I've considered is marking registration as private (in which case the ctl=register results in the displaying the login page), but then I lose the register link on the login page.

What is the process for reporting this as a 'bug'?

Is there a workaround such as database content modification that would have the desired effect without getting overwritten in an upgrade?

Thanks,
David

ctl=register displays the registration page, set in Site Settings (Admin menu)

I agree that it should, however it does not.  I've changed the site settings and all the visible links (in the skin and on the login popup) correctly navigate to my custom registration page.  But requests for any valid page with a query string of "?ctl=register" ignore the site setting and display the default registration page.

I'm running 6.00.02 Community Edition - I'd appreciate feedback from others willing to give it a try on other versions.

Another potential workaround may be SiteUrls.config - but I haven't tried it yet to know if it will be evaluated before the query string.

if the original page has the name "Login", you might need to rename it not to be called.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'original page'.  Perhaps seeing it will help.  I've created a public site to demonstrate the issue.

The example site is http://www.seldensoft.com

The registration page is in the public menu, and the skin links bring up the intended custom registration page.

But look at what you get using this url http://www.seldensoft.com/home.aspx?c...

Do you understand my issue?  At least with the site configured as registration set to 'private' you can't immediately login...
