Hi, I have a question about using .css for a custom module. I am working in a system with different portals and skins. We created a custom menu module. In the DesktoModules/ folder is the folder with all the module files, including module.css.

I have a skin called planning.ascx, it's css file is planning.css

I don't know why, but he styles in Module.css always seem to take precedence. I want to be able to set different rules in my planning.css file, but it seems I have to set them in module.css (or remove them from that file altogether) to get them to work. Shouldn't the planning.css file override the module.css file? That way the module could have a regular setting (in module.css) and you could override it's rules in the skin (ie planning.css) when using the module in that skin.

Why deosnt this work? Is there a better way to be able to use a module with different styles in differrent skins?

thanks

 Tom

My understanding and experience has been that a class defined in the page.css will override the module.css.

Might want to use FF or Chome dev tools and "look" at the styles being applied....that will confirm which one is getting loaded over the other.
