I have 2 sites. A live site on DNN5 (5.6.3) and  a test site that is rehauled in DNN6 (6.1.1)

On the DNN5 site in the file manager... if I click on an HTML file in the file manager. The browser will prompt me to download the file.

In DNN6 it only opens the HTML file in the browser... It does not give me an option to download when clicking on the file name.. and right clicking does not work. Copying the link location results in:

  __doPostBack('dnn$ctr413$FileManager$dgFileList$ctl03$lnkDLFile','')

So.. how do I get the file manager to allow me to down load the files. Thanks.

DNN 5 uses a different default editor - you may switch to DNN CKEditor provider, which provides you with the option to place links absolute, relative or using linkclick.aspx (which will always call download manager). you may download it for free from dnnckeditor.codeplex.com

IS there any other option here... this client does not like the CKEditor... they find it to not do what they want and at times it is finicky with other modules... namely the DataSprings Dynamic Forms module.

Because of some of the slight incompatiblity I don't feel I can use it... can anyone else tell me how I can, form within the file manager in the admin area, be able to have the browser ask if you want to open or download the file rather than the site automatically opening it up.

 Thanks!

Anyone else out there with any thoughts on this? I am at a stand still here.
