I had this same issue when I worked with minimalExtropy a while ago, but I just installed DNN 6.1.2.

I like the Dark Knight skin, so I've been trying to modify it, but the menus keep showing up behind the content.

Last time, I just added a z-index:9999 and it fixed the issue.  This time, I cannot seem to get that to work.

Its only an issue in IE, but that is the only browser approved at our company.

Any ideas where to put this?

Thanks,

Larry

Do you have this only in IE 7 & 8 or also in 9?

Is it's not in IE9, it's most likely a "Has layout" issue (read IE bug)

This can be solved in different ways but what I have used is to set position relative to some of the containing elements, another tip I've seem, but never used is this:

div{display:inline-block;}
div{display:block;}

 It's IE hack, that's why it look like useless code ;-)

Unfortunately, we are on IE7 which is mandated by IT, so our users cannot change browsers.

I've tried Firefox and Chrome and it works fine, but that is not a workable solution for our users.

I tried the other css snippet, but no luck there either.

I just downloaded the XSCMaple skin I used in a 5.4 site and fixed the issue in that skin.

I don't like it as much, but I can't justify continuing to work on this.

The problem is the issue shows up in IE, but IE's developer tools really stink... at least the ones in IE7.
