The expression is only evaluated during registration - so it does not have any effect on existing usernames.

As for any issues - there should not be any issues that Im aware of.

So I went into the dbo.Users table to take the spaces out of some usernames that contained spaces... and those usernames no longer work to login or reset password.


Is there someplace else in the database where username has to be changed?

aspnet_Users as well.

ps - It's risky to manually update usernames in the db as it might impact other modules.

This RegEx does not allow email addresses:

^[a-zA-Z0-9]{5,15}$

Anyone have one that doesn't allow spaces but does allow email addresses?

Not too good with RegEx myself.
