Bump.

Have I put this in the wrong section? Does nobody have any knowledge of what's causing these logs or how to stop them?

log4net files may be deleted safely, you need to edit the config file (DotNetNuke.log4net.config file in the root of the website) to reduce logging: < level value="OFF" / >

I have this exact same problem.

Anyone have any hints here?

Ah, ignore my previous... didn't see your reply on page 2 of the thread.

What I would like to know is what logging are we giving up? I thought the event and page hit logging was going saved into the DB.... Now I see these files.

I would love to see formal documentation for admins:

Features for managing DB Size and performance
Features for managing File system size and performance
Other general performance considerations

I found a blog from Rahul Singla that was a nice start, (http://www.rahulsingla.com/blog/2010/...)

but again, no real mention of the trade-offs.
Doesn't need to be super detailed, but a couple sentences on the trade-offs for setting Caching from Moderate to Heavy, and stuff like that would be one of the best single topics ever written....

Thanks much!
