Hi,Submit

I've run into an issue - my module includes several web controls (System.Web.UI.Control) one of which needs to retrieve a resource string. The containing module can reference it's LocalResourceFile but the child controls can't and I can't see an easy way of allowing them to. I would like to create a resource class which manages the resources but again, as it's just a class, it can't access the LocalResourceFile object. Do I have to implement my own resources file? Are my child controls unable to retrieve resources from the same location as my module?

Any ideas? :)

Hi, Darrin.

Try to implement property LocalResourceFile in your nested control. For example, like above

public virtual string LocalResourceFile
{
get
{
return "~/DesktopModules/MyModule/App_LocalResources/View";
}
}

Thank you,
Henry Carter
