Is this know bug and is there any solution for this?

Thanks,

I am in the same situation--upgraded from 4.0 to 4.3, and getting the same error when I try to create a new portal.  I opened up the source code and tracked down what I think to be the problem.

 The stored proc  AddPortalInfo

has a number of extra parameters that shouldn't be there
 (FirstName, LastName, Username, password, email)

These parameters appear to have been removed in the 03.02.06.SqlDataProvider file, but that file is not ran for people upgrading from 4.0 to 4.3

On a much bigger note it appears that the script 03.02.06.SqlDataProvider isn't ran at all and all of the stored procs in it need to be updated.  If you want to fix it you can run the 03.02.06.SqlDataProvider file (make sure you substitute the databaseowner and objectqualifier)

I had no problems creating a new portal on 4.30 - using the starter kit.  It does have an error somewhere in the script - I would assume, since the portal immediately reports a 403 forbidden.  Adding the default.aspx to the new portal folder's document settings in IIS corrected this.

Testing the same on 4.03 version and all works fine - including the default.aspx in the document tab in IIS.  I'd say this is a bug - so check the bug tracker as it may already be known.  Of course this is a new version, so perhaps the team has a reason or process to handle - hopefully they can answer that question.

[edit] I forgot to add - I only tested adding a child portal, I hope that is what you were doing as well.  I've not had much success creating a parent portal via the add portal form.
